The above screen represents the REVISED alternative version for a proposed website homepage design for my client Chinese Culture Connection (CCC). The oriental floral fabric pattern used in the background of this design suggests the delicate artistry and poetic beauty of the Chinese culture.
*Please Note: I changed the concept for this piece a bit. The collage of the various CCC programs suggest the shape of a flower similar to the floral fabric background. The petals of the programs presented suggest the diversity of CCC's programs. I also modified the tagline for this piece to suggest the flowering "expressions of Chinese culture" -- a culture that is organic, constantly changing, growing, and flowering. The emphasis on faces, like the other new design shows the human side of the Chinese culture. It may suggest that Chinese culture is preserved in the legacy of its people and its efforts to maintain its essential values and expressions in a world of increasing cultural cross-fertilization. Per feedback, I also changed the color of the design to a more deep maroon-red and used gold accents often associated with Chinese art and culture.
